Well this is my very first weekend of staying home, as we are expecting a big storm coming in by mid morning tomorrow. I decided to stay home and relax and let Boyd go to Colorado to see his daughter Melissa for her 28th Birthday party with all her friends.
Melissa has cerebral palsy and she and I have text with each other everyday and I have talked to her on the phone several times as she talks very slow and I am able to hear her well with my cochlear implants. I know we will get along well. She invited me to be apart of a program she is in called ..... No Barriers..... https://www.nobarriersusa.org/ (We empower people to break through barriers, find their inner purpose and contribute their best to the world) Melissa is in a wheelchair and it took her almost 2 years to achieve her dreams to climb Arapahoe Basin Ski Area ( Arapahoe Basin is an alpine ski area in the Rocky Mountains of the United States, in the White River National Forest of Colorado. Arapahoe Basin is known for its extended season) in her wheelchair. She met a man at her Leadville College graduation as this man Eric Weihenmayer,( On May 25, 2001, Erik became the first blind climber in history to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. In 2008, he reached the summit of Carstensz Pyramid in Papua New Guinea completing his quest for the Seven Summits – the highest peaks on each of the seven continents.) He was doing a speech at her graduation about his new foundation of NO BARRIERS and this has really changed her life from then on. Eric encouraged her to do something that she wanted to do. SO she accomplished her dream to climb the mountain in her wheelchair with some help. So she has asked me to be a part of her program next year. SO next year we plan to go to a conference in San Francisco, As I have been in communication with Eric myself the last few months to find out what it would take for me to help as a caregivers to help those with disability to continue on a path of living with a purpose and help them change their vision that wheelchairs are limiting’ to ‘wheelchairs enable’ and ‘wheelchairs are empowering.’” The mission of No Barriers is to fully unleash the potential of the human spirit. This program is for all disabilities!!
Don’t forget: “What’s Within You is Stronger Than What’s in Your Way”.
SO I have a new GOAL to achieve something in my future to do something that I KNOW I CAN DO IT!! I am a survivor/Warrior from 15 years of abuse!! And have no fear to make new JOURNEYS in my life!!
I want to give encouragement to those with disabilities to get out of their comfort zone and to not self doubt our abilities!
SO my dream is to move beyond my comfort zone to grow and reach goals for myself to accomplish things that I CAN DO for myself with others with severe disabilities!!

Well any ways, I do have a dream!!
I hope you have a good weekend, I plan to just relax and do more research of my plans for my future as I have already started. IT takes a lot of determination and self motivation!!

WHAT’S WITHIN YOU IS STRONGER THAN WHAT’S IN YOUR WAY!!!!
