Perfect timing! in A small but passable life.

On the grocery run yesterday morning I stopped by the library to drop off the last book. I usually just buzz by the drive-thru drop off but this time since I had no books left in the pile beside my chair except for the big fat philosophy book that’s had a bookmark in it for years, and I hadn’t checked my email recently for books on hold, I decided to park and go in and check for another Robinson book. And on the way to that shelf I went by the hold shelf and checked. And there it was with my name on it . . . the new Margaret Atwood book!

I waited until this morning to start it. And by the time I’d finished with my morning coffee I’d read the first 58 pages.

The TV series second season starts where the first book leaves off. This second book takes place fifteen years after the first book ends. I haven’t watched the third season yet. Is there a fourth? Anyway, the second book is making perfect sense. I had to force stop myself today because this is one of those books I could see myself reading without stopping.

So yeah, life is good.
