So. We’re living in a crazy world which is partially on fire. The whole world is going through a pandemic, a virus so dangerous that the death toll is reaching crazy numbers. If you had asked me at midnight on New Year’s Eve how I saw this year panning out, I guarantee this isn’t it.

We moved at the end of October last year into our dream home. It’s insane, & I’m completely obsessed with it. I can’t wait to decorate (it’s a new build, so no decorating for a year). Carl has got a new shed for the garden which should hopefully be coming next week. I think he needed something to keep him & his mind occupied. He’s working from home at the moment so has barely left the house for the last 4 weeks.

I’m still going to work, working for the NHS means that I’m essential. Luckily our office has gotten working from home up & running pretty quickly but it’s a rota basis. So I’ve been in every day up to now, but as of next week I’ll be home working for two weeks which will be very interesting!

My job involves reading about patients who have/die from COVID. It’s sent me home crying multiple times, I can’t imagine what some people & their families are having to go through right now. It’s absolutely terrifying.

Keep safe everyone, we’ll be out the other side soon.
