The Lost Art Of Communication in Life After 60

My formal education required me to take English, Speech, and Communication in order to graduate. I prided myself in the fact that I was an A student in those subjects. However, a new reader sent me a message that drove home a great point.
In order to communicate one must send the message and then one must receive the message and UNDERSTAND. And this brings me to the point. Understanding. While many of my readers have read enough of my post to know I am pretty much a tongue and cheek kind of guy who really takes things to the far sarcastic extreme, a new reader may take my post as a war on women, society and life in general.
Texting, messaging, and written language has lost the ability for human to communicate effectively. So some bright person came up with the Emoji and keyboard signs like /s which mean Sarcastic. What happens is unless you know the person really well you can’t get a read on what they mean. You lose the visual effects and voice reflection. Body language says so much. I just tend to forget to add the LOL, IMHO, LOTFLMAO, and the like.
I promise I will try to better, but that doesn’t mean that you, my reader has to agree with everything I say. It is after all one man’s opinion of what life after 60 looks like from my perspective. And somedays the vision is a little cloudy from the fog.
Tomorrow I will be back to my normal self, so look out, there is no telling where I will take us. And I have learned to have thick skin, everyone doesn’t agree with my philosophy, but that is what makes the world so grand.

I think you and I must communicate much the same way. And I don't IMHO , but IMNSHO. (In my not so humble opinion)
