Let’s open up the phone lines and see what our listeners have to say on the subject of online dating…We’ll be right back after this break....and we’re clear…
Computers and the internet, along with social media are now a regular part of our lives. So much if we don’t reply to a post, message or phone call in a timely manner people think something is wrong. Well, there is. I don’t want to be joined at the “internet connection” with you 24/7!
But to the real issue, online dating. Yes, I have connected with POF, Eharmony, and OK Cupid and failed miserably with all three. And now Facebook enters the game with Facebook Dating. (It’s only available as a mobile app) With everything done online and by computers why not dating? Really? What does that say about those of us who are crazy enough to trust a computer and website to match us with someone? (Hey, I failed on my own why not let the computer see if it is any better.)
The part that really makes me shake my head and ask, “What were they thinking?” is those people who post pictures from 20 years ago as their profile picture. Yeah, we all wish we looked 30 years younger, but we don’t, so why post it? Do these folks not realize if they meet someone they are going to notice that you don’t look like that? My theory, if you will lie about how you look, what else will you lie about? And that folks is probably why I am still single.
Now to the phones we go. Hello caller, you are on the air.
