I had a great time Saturday with my Granddaughter Katie and her Grandmother Phyllis. Phyllis is the Mother of Katie’s step-mother and all the children are accepted and loved as if they were blood. We started out from Princeton NJ to go to Philadelphia about 12:45 PM and were parked and inside the Convention Center an hour later. It was a bright sunny day and traffic was moderate except for some of the ubiquitous construction repairs. Entering into the hall it was like walking into Summer as it was so warm and humid.
We roamed around the hall for 3 or 4 hours in a riot of color and beauty. It was packed with every type tourists from infants in strollers to ancients in wheelchairs. Everywhere I looked I saw smiles of happiness and friendliness.
After we decided we had enough flowers we left the building and headed back for the car. We detoured into an Amish Food Court across from the Convention enter where I( bought some Jellies and Katie debated getting a cap. Then we set out for Lambertville NJ for dinner electing not to eat in Philadelphia. We had a great dinner and then headed back to Princeton NJ. I left from there and got home about 10 PM tired but very happy.
Here are some photos of the exhibits in the Flower show.
