Today was my last day and I am fficiallynretired altho I will be going back on a part-time basis in about 6 weeks so I am looking at this as an extended vacation. Retiring is bittersweet because I did not think I would be in the situation I am in now when I retired but I am trying to make the best of it.
The office had a cake, of course, and doughnuts, cookies, chips and dip, cheese and meat tray, veggie tray and a punch fountain. The theme was a Hawaiian one because they know I like the beach. Who knows perhaps I will go to Hawaii some day since our Caribbean islands were destroyed by hurricane Irma and are still recovering. I ram ceived several gift cards, flowers, wine glasses, and a bottle of gin (wonder why they think I like to drinkāha ha). Also received a floral arrangement from former court girls that I do HH with every so often. Several of the judges came down and they left me leave at 2. All in all it was a pretty good day.
Relaxing now, have to get up early tomorrow to get ready for the 10 mile bike ride so no champagne tonight!
