Days End in Life After 60

There’s a place I go, to get away, from the madness at the end of my day.
Just before the sun’s final bow, I take my trip back to Fall.
As splendor colors and fresh crisp air, Welcome me warmly from my toils and pain.
Beyond the view of judgmental glances, I find my place upon a rock

Close by, in all God’s beauty, I watch as the forest animals play.
Not a care or worry do they display, Much like me in my younger days.
I glance toward the mountain view, sitting quietly I pray for you.
Not to change or make up your mind, just to touch your life, as you have touched mine.

In my place of solitude, I rest as all-around fall.
One by one in bright natures robe, the leaves once green, now brilliantly glow.
As this day draws near the end like many others,
I breathe in the joy of time with you.
