While there are numerous topics that will get a man in deep with the fairer sex, the over/under rule of the bathroom toilet paper is somewhere in my top 10. Followed closely by the making of the bed daily. (Sidebar your honor, I have been single now for 10 years so my house my rules.)
I have never understood what the issue is on the toilet paper. The first rule I think is most important, never fun out of toilet paper. What does it matter if it is on the roll one way or the other? Is it easier to grab if it is over? Who made up this rule? Simple solution, don’t place it on a roll, let it sit somewhere on its end. Yeah like that is proper etiquette. I can hear it now. PUT THAT TOILET PAPER ON THE HOLDER NOW! I live in a cabin so I have resorted my pre-historic ways.
And to add fuel to the fire, when did it become unlawful to not make a bed every day? My theory on the whole bedmaking issue is, I am going to get right back in it tonight. Of course by that logic why close the door every time you go out. Or turning off the light every time you leave a room. Okay, sure if I am going to be out of the room for a while.
All I can say is heaven help me if I ever remarry. The new rules may kill me. If not, the bride might. The other top argument, toilet seat up or down? Smile, you know you have left it up and she has sat down and fallen in! Just have the local florist on speed dial.

We had cats. The toilet paper went towards the wall. And a roll of paper towels were never left on a counter. Now, the toilet paper goes on the holder. In one bathroom the holder actually hand from the tank so it really is better if you put it on rolling away from the tank. However, if there is a roll on the holder I'm happy.
