Brody text me then come over after all the stuff with his grandma I thought he was grounded are did not like me.
We sit down on the porch and was just talking I ask why his grandma was kinda mean and he got mad, Brody said why did you say that. I said she won’t buy you new boots and never just answers a question. Brody said she buys me stuff all the time I get more than most guys around here but if I do stupid things she makes me deal with it. I took my boot off to emptied some gravel out. I left it on the tractor deck instead of putting my boot back on and started mowing and it fell off and I ran over it with the bush hog. So I have to save my allowance and buy new ones if I want a boot because I didn’t think it though. She didn’t ground me she said live with your poor decision till you can fix it are be grounded she gave me a choice, save my allowance and buy new ones are do without are she could ground me and buy them.
I didn’t know what to say I think Brody’s Grandma was unfair plus I thought he was mad at her and upset about it. I said sorry but he was mad at me because I said that, I don’t think I will ever understand Brody I would be so made mad at her.
He stuck his foot up and said besides I chopped my boot up, now I just have a sock come on that’s kinda funny plus not the worst thing I ever did to be in trouble.
He does make me laugh. We walked to the park down the road and he pushed me on the swing, sounds lame but it was great. he even bought me an ice cream cone. I know it sounds boring for a teenager but it was like the best time no stress no pressure never thought about my stepdad. It’s so funny in a way if I still lived in the city I was in, and I had seen someone doing what we were doing I would have thought how lame is that shit and we would have given them a hard time.
All at once Brody said we have to go I ask why? Brody said the lights are on. I ask him what’s that got to do with anything? Brody said my curfew is when the lights come on so I have to go home. are be in trouble and I have already pushed my luck this week more than once
When I got home, I told mom what Brody said about the lights in the park. She started laughing and said really I didn’t know parents still did that, that’s old school. I think you should follow that rule. I don’t get it we used to stay out till whenever.
I don't get it in Brody
