John and I have just had an enjoyable afternoon with no kids. Rob has gone away for the weekend, doing some voluntary fell maintenance work. We haven't heard a peep from him, so I'm hoping that everything is OK! The girls have gone to the cinema with John's sister to watch The Lego movie.

I managed to persuade John to take me for dinner. He would have been quite happy sitting in front of the TV eating beans, but we haven't done anything with just the two of us for ages. We went to the pub, I had the Sunday roast (beef, roasties, mash, 2 Yorkshires, cabbage, swede, green beans, carrots and gravy...and not a hint of a bain-marie either!) John had lasagne with chips, garlic bread and a green salad. He couldn't finish his.) We also had a wander around the shops. It was lovely. The girls are back now. No idea where Rob is, he said he thought he was back this afternoon.

I've been doing a bit of practice walking, although not as much as I'd like. Did two walks this week, a total of about 15 miles. Considering it's 2 weeks today to the big event, I really should be doing more! Here's a few photos of my latest walks. I'm so glad I live where I do. I can walk for about 5 minutes and I'm out in the countryside. Snow on the mountains.

These next photos were taken when I was on my lunch break from work. Even being stuck in traffic is pretty! (No, I didn't take this while I was driving. I don't drive, I was a passenger in my friend, Simon's car.)

He's back, with ripped trousers and having lost his phone. He's gone STRAIGHT upstairs, probably to update his Facebook or something, but this is where he was staying:
