We have been continuing to deal with the joys and struggles of adolescence at our place. Aaron has slowly been telling me about the class trip to Washington. I have learned that eighth graders will tell you things on their own schedule. On the last night of the trip they had a dance contest after dinner. Aaron’s social studies teacher won the contest. Aaron talked about the cardboard cutouts of Donald and Melania Trump for picture-taking at souvenir stands around Washington. I told him there were the same cutouts of Ronald and Nancy Reagan when I was in middle school.

Kayla and Timmy have two more weeks of classes. Then they have a week of exams, There is a junior class mass at school next week. We are planning to visit colleges after school ends.
