I'm Getting Too Old For This in Life After 60

I am not where I thought I would be at this stage in my life. But I tell myself it could be worse and there are a lot of people who don’t have it a nice as I do. I wanted to be retired or at least close. Instead, I have closed one chapter of my life and am about to embark on one that I should have started years ago.
Harlan Sanders did not start Kentucky Fried Chicken until he was 65. What an accomplishment. I have read stories of individuals graduating from college in there 70’. So maybe there is still hope for me. But I know I am not as young as I used to. And that may play to my advantage because I am not afraid of failure. After all, what do I have to lose?
I am actually a little more excited at my age to attempt things I wouldn’t have dreamed of when I was younger. There was too much at risk. Of course, my family might say I took more risk than they would have liked, but that is what drove me. Now, it’s just me. I don’t have to worry about the family.
I have heard that when one door closes another door opens. But as Sheldon Cooper noted, “No it doesn’t. Not unless the two doors are connected by relays or there are motion sensors involved. Or if the first door closing creates a change of air pressure that acts upon the second door.” Let the good times roll.
