Don't Worry Be Happy in Life After 60

According to a new study from Stanford University and New York University quitting Facebook for a month makes users happier. phys.org/news. Of course, 20-60 mg of Prozac or 50-300mg of Quetiapine will make you feel happy too! You just have to decide which you want to do. Dropping off facebook is free. Happy Pills, not so much.
What is this seemingly got to have my facebook fix? I started my habit back in 2009. It was a fun way to connect with my fellow classmates at the time. Then it expanded to HS classmates, then family. Now I get a friend request from people I either don’t know (or perhaps forgotten) or don’t want to know! To date, I show a list of 163 friends. To be truthful only about 5 of them are true friends, the others friends of friends.
I enjoyed reconnecting with my family that is scattered around the country, catching up with people I hadn’t seen since the night I graduated, and a few old girlfriends. But Facebook has gotten too Political and too Religious for me. I am not against freedom of speech, or your rights to worship, (or not) the God (or god) of your choice. But every other post is someone lashing out at someone else because they want to fly the Confederate Flag in the South or I Hate Trump and If you are a Christian you will repost this picture, which by the way, is not a picture of Christ. (To my limited knowledge they couldn’t get Christ to stand still for His selfie.)
So as not to lose track of my family and the few people I really enjoying sharing stuff with I just limit my Facebook time and accept that there are those out there who really do believe that we can impeach Nancy Pelosi, and that Obama took the oath on the Book of Koran! (Sorry but California voted Nancy into office and I doubt that Congress is going to impeach one of their own.) As for the whole, what book did Obama take the oath on? Little known fact. Nowhere in the Constitution does it require the Oath of Office be taken on the Bible or any other book.
Here’s my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice and don’t take life too seriously, you’re not going to get out alive!
