There’s a fine line between a genius and an idiot. That may have been true at one time but today that line is blurred. Much like my vision. I live in a world that I was not born into. It happened slowly, so as not to alarm us. Like the frog placed in a cool pan of water and slowly heated up. (Okay don’t call PETA just yet, I will add the disclaimer, DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME.)
The problem with the whole fine line theory is while I may be an idiot in one area I may very well be closer to the genius side of another. (or not) But which genius came up with these ideas? I know computers like the back of my hand. Networking is still a learning experience. But give me an algebra problem and my eyes will roll back in my head. I have never understood math. I was told it was because I never learned the basic principles. College Algebra was my downfall.
Fine lines. Moral decency. Common courtesy. It seems each generation redefines them to suit their own needs. And the only constant is change. And like most of the population, I like change about as much as I like going to the dentist. It’s not that I don’t see a need for change, it just seems all the changes we make are wrong.
