Technology is a double-edged sword. While it does make our lives simpler, it can make them more difficult. Take the phone for instance. One does not need to memorize a phone number. You simply save it in your contact list. The problem is when your smartphone has a senior moment and goes dumb. (Oh man, what was that girls number from last night?)
A couple of weeks ago I learned about a smart outlet. It plugs into a regular outlet and by plugging in your window air conditioner you can control it with an app on your phone. (There goes that phone again. Our life is controlled by that thing.) You can actually set up your whole house to control it with an app.
Everything is Smart. Our T.V.’s, phones, our houses, even our cars. Now if it would work on some people I have to deal with. One more product I have found in the smart category, Smart Water. It was, however, a major disappointment. The folks I gave it too failed to get any smarter. Maybe they didn’t drink it. And yet, some folks will still drink the cool-aid.
