My Lazy Sunday Routine in My Travels

Ever wondered what to do in order to make your day interesting? Those are Sundays for me. In as much as I long for one day of the week whereby I can be home and relax, I still think about the positive things I can do even while relaxing and being lazy. If you have such a day and are wondering about what to do, is my lazy Sunday routine that has proven helpful.

Workout at the gym for one hour

Healthy living is beautiful living, and nothing brightens up my Sunday morning more than the thought that I am working on myself. That moment when I want to snooze my alarm, I always think about the positive side of leading a healthy lifestyle. I go to the gym as the first thing to set in a beautiful mood for the whole week.

Eat a healthy heavy breakfast

I have never run out of healthy breakfast ideas thanks to online supermarkets such as Ocado, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s. They have a wide range of healthy breakfast selections to choose from. I prefer cereals, fresh juice, and pastries on Sundays because I, by all means, have enough time to bake and make all the delicious foods and accompaniments. Go swimming

Swimming is a great exercise. I prefer swimming to other active activities such as sports because I swim better than play tennis. Therefore, think about a sport you love and slot time for it on a Sunday. There is a lot to learn since I meet professionals whom I also get to learn from.

Take my dog for a walk

Taking my dog for a walk is probably one of the best things I get to do on Sundays. I not only get to bond with it but also exercise at the same time. Walking out in nature also inspires, helps you release negative energy and reorganize your thoughts. A walk in the afternoon or evening is always so soothing.

Bond with family and friends over dinner

Sundays are always a great time to either visit or have my friends and or family over for dinner. It is usually a bonding session for me, and I long for those dinners because of the pure love that flows from the table. Moreover, it is also an opportunity for you to indulge in your favourite meals and drinks as well as to try out new recipes.

Go to the cinema for a movie

I always check out the latest from cinemas and grab myself a ticket for the evening. I especially love comedy because it is therapeutic. The fun, laughter, and entertainment combined makes me ready for Mondays and the rest of the working week.
