Being thankful is one of the wealthiest assets that mankind can ever boast of. Being thankful has nothing to do with only dwelling on the good times and everything that comes with them. Many at times we fail to take note of the little things due to the pressures of this life. No matter how bad it gets, there are still more reasons to be thankful. This is how I became more thankful for my life:

Life itself is a gift

Ever thought of how many close people have left us yet they were so full of life and had promising dreams? Or that young person who did not have money for fees but died just after graduation? Challenges will always be part of life. For me, every day is a new opportunity to start over and do something differently. If I can breathe again, I still have a chance to win or do it differently.

I recognized my talents

Each one of us has a special gift. Being talented does not mean that you have something recognized by the whole world. It is appreciating the fact that you can perform at an activity better than the others. It could be your cooking or baking skills, that game you play, the ability to understand or listen and so on. Your gift is what helps you make a difference in someone’s life, and we all have them. It is just a matter of recognizing it.

I gave and still give back to the community

Giving back to the community has made me more thankful. If you come to think of it, you somehow have something that you do not need or even use in your home why not give it away? Besides, I discovered that I could shop online and through this contribute to charity. Promo Codes For not only gives you up to 60% off on your purchases but also contributes 20% of what they get to charity.

I kept a gratitude journal

There are so many things to be grateful for. My gratitude journal reminds me of how lucky and blessed I am. It consist of all the acceptance I got, the interviews I passed, the examinations, the tests, the financial breakthroughs, the ability to be with my loved ones and the ability to achieve small milestones such as get well after being sick, being loved, having a supportive family and friends, peace of mind when I need it the most and such small but meaningful acts that make life more meaningful.

I volunteered

Taking part in volunteer projects opens you up to a whole new world and a whole new perspective. You can choose to do this regularly within your community or respond to a need at hand. Volunteer programs enable you to meet people with real-life problems. Poverty, disease, depression, loneliness, resignation; it can only make you more grateful for what you have and for who you are.
