I am sitting here at my desk in the office. My work is pushed off to the side. In front of me are three pairs of eyeglasses and all are in different stages of being unusable. Number one has lost a screw that holds the glass into the eye socket as well as holding the left arm back so it will hook onto my ear. Naturally a tiny screwdriver is nowhere to be found so I am trying to use a pointed end of a Staples Metal Fastener to set the screw back. The end keeps bending. The other two glasses are each missing an arm on different sides and true to my luck the arms are not interchangeable. I was thinking of taping the two pairs together and removing the lens from one set. My son whose desk faces mine though not abuts mine is laughing uncontrollably. Later today I have to go home for a physical with a RN from United Health Care and I will find out from her what Eye Doctors are part of their plan and what my coverage is this year. I confess I am just pathetic. I also am faced with my Urologist and my Podiatrist no longer in the plan and have start replacing them. I hate doing that with the Urologist as it is a PIA and the new one might not even give me flowers after the prostate exam. Alas, Alack. This promises to be a stressed day and I am thinking of just starting it over.
