It's snowing again. How much more can we take before going absolutely nuts? I am praying that J brings home dinner tonight, as I really don't want to cook. I don't mind it, but it would be nice to have a day off of the kitchen duty now and then.
Reading lots of books, and so am pushing well through the challenge this year. Of course the counter to this is that I need to get moving on writing reviews. I just need to get other stuff finished as well.
I need to go do some diffing through the magazines -- the latest Cook's Illustrated has a scone recipe that is more of the British style than the American. And it uses yeast! A big surprise -- I had no idea that they could be made that way. But they also have currants, which I like. I also need to get the bread machine going as well. If worse comes to worst, J can make himself sandwiches for dinner.
Let's face it, I just want a couple of meals, and some uninterrupted reading time for myself. Greedy I know, but there you have it.
