I had clinicals Fri and Sat. Fri was ER. I do not want to be an ER nurse. Those patient made me hate the human race for a while. If your "fever" is 99.0, you're not sick. You wanted a note to not go to work. Take some ibuprofen and move on. Crybaby.
Don't laugh. I've never seen an uncircumcised penis in real life. All the ones I've ever been in contact with have been snipped. So I put in my first catheter and it was uncircumcised. Ugh, you never forget your first. :)
Sat I went back to ICU. Very, very hard day. Super extremely hard day. Watched a drunk driver that had plowed into a tree code. The night shift had been working on him for three hours before I got there. They went on for another hour while I stood there and watched. Apparently it was under some very bad circumstances. Security blocked the room after he passed until the police arrived and took over the crime scene. Later in the afternoon an 80-something year old man was in the room right over from my patient passed. He was waiting for hospice to come and pick him up and take him to their facility. He went so peacefully. But his family wasn't there and that just sucked.
Anyway. Long weekend. I'm gonna study for my exam that is tomorrow. And maybe take a nap. Yes, nap sounds really good.
