Scary stuff in At the foot of the hill

It’s avalanche season in Colorado…and I’m not talking about professional hockey. On Thursday there were 7 major snow slides along highways in our mountains. I’ve lost count of the year-to-date total, but I only know of one person being killed. That is amazing because when that heavy snow comes roaring down from way up there, it creates its own energy and is very, very dangerous and destructive. And with more snow predicted up country, there will be more avalanches. Not a good time to ski nor to travel across the divide! (Not that I was planning to do either....)
