Ray was a dear friend who passed in 2003, who lived with us for a number of years. My wife and I have always had people living with us from the day we returned from our honeymoon. Ray was one of the many. One of the two Rays that passed through our doors. Ray had some serious issues. One of them dealt with alcohol abuse. We were doing a move one day and he said his stomach was bothering him. The next day I had a job and he wasn't feeling well and stayed home. I got a phone call later in the day saying they had to call an ambulance and take him to the hospital. Apparently he was bleeding internally and I came home and had to clean upstairs cause there was blood all in his bed and on the floor. My nephew's bedroom was across the hall and I didn't want him to see the blood. I stayed home and waited for my nephew. My wife was at the hospital with Ray. He was conscious and talking. The doctors and nurses were doing their best and did their best. They gave him 15 units of blood but he bled out. They were unable to stop the bleeding. Ray was a good man. He had his problems and he was doing really good. I was trying to help him start his own business.

Ray finished well.
