I am so thankful that I get to spend weekends with my best friend. I got out of work on Friday and I pretty much havent let her leave my site since. I LOVE spending this time with her. Wishing I lived in Canada with Tina so I could have more maternity leave!

Well, I heard my beauty giggle yesterday! We went to visit a woman I used to work with for lunch. She had a baby in January named Maddie. We went to her condo and she giggled at her husband. It was really cute! She has such a sweet little voice. She had a bit of a rough day yesterday though. She didnt really take any good nap and was kinda a mess. In the evening we went to hang with Sara and Colby (I think Ive written about them in here, but Sara and I work at the same company and she was induced in the room next to mine at the hospital - so our babies are 12 hours apart!). She was good in the beginning but then she just lost her shit and was super difficult. I FINALLY got her to sleep and she slept really well last night. She nursed and fell asleep on me on the couch around 10ish. I napped here until midnight when I had to go pick Sal up at work. She woke up when I put her in the carseat but fell right back to sleep. When we got home around 1:15 she slept through me taking her out, putting her in her sleep sack, and in to bed! She woke up to eat around 5, I believe, and then at 8:30 for the day.

In other news for the week, Piper had her first babysitter on Friday! He has been working too much and has been a tired mess. They are still working on a schedule during the day and napping. So, Ive been hanging out with a girl that used to be in my class when I taught. She LOVES babies and reached out to me to meet Piper when she was a few weeks old. We have gone out to dinner a couple of times. Shes a freshman in highschool. So, Friday I sent her a text to see if she was around. Sal ended up dropping Piper off at her house and I picked her up after work. She did a really good job and I survived it! So proud!

In other news...my Mom had emergency surgery this week. She had been bleeding vaginally for about a month. She didnt worry about it because she hadnt healed completely from her hysterectomy and her doctor said she wouldnt probably be completely healed during chemo. But after this long she called her doctor. Her doctor agreed to see her on Thursday but figured she was fine. She went in for her appt and she had a tear in her vagina. This apparently happens to 4% of people after a hysterectomy. They typically do the surgery vaginally but apparently hers was really bad and they thought the bowels may have been perforated too so they gave her a 4 inch incision to fix it up. Apparently they double sewed her in there so hopefully shes good. The surgery was 2 1/2 hours and the doc made it sound like an easy procedure so I was freaking out! So she came home from the hospital yesterday and feels AWFUL between chemo and major surgery.

Alright, bedtime for this tired girl! Hope youre all doing well.
