last thursday was pretty interesting.

on tuesday, my friend at work suggested i work earlier on thursday and we'd go play frisbee golf. i normally work 8-5 and he works 7-4 so i cleared it with my boss.

i pick him up and we drive into work. nothing unusual. we're off work at 4 and head up to this park by me in la canada (damn tilde). we play for about an hr before we can't see where the heck the frisbee went. we did spent some time trying to get our frisbees out of trees.

it was about 5:30 and we talked about getting a drink. we were both hungry also so we went to his place where he took his stuff inside and he asked his wife if she wanted to join us. she was being a good teacher and so she stayed back. we tried to figure out a place to eat and then i suggested seeing monuments men; a movie we both wanted to see.

however, we looked up showtimes (now about 7) and nothing was playing. then we chose this indian place by universal. on the way there, he asked about re-seeing american hustle, he already saw it but was up for seeing it again. it was only playing in hollywood, so we took a quick turn and stopped at the metro lot. took the metro to hollywood/vine. right outside the metro is the pantages. book of mormon is playing and i mentioned wanting to see it. he told me his wife wanted to see it, but he wanted to as well. we then went to see if tickets were still available for that night's show. the only two that were together were in row H and were about 125 each. previously we had set a limit of 35 each. i worked over winter break and saved some of it. but i said fuck it and got the tickets. told eric just to pay me 20 and buy drinks. so we went next door (it's now about 7:25 and the show is at 8). we had a drink (whiskey) and then went and got food (last meal was 1 for lunch).

it was a great show, really no bad seats at the pantages, but last time i was in row qq for the lion king. it was a very good show. apparently eric saw some people with very shocked faces during the performance. you have to go in knowing that the writers also wrote south park. knowing that, you should know what you're in for (if not specifically).

so that ended the night. got home about 11:30. that seemed to be a strange end to the night.
