The Weekend in Public

What a weekend.
I didn’t work out on Saturday because I didn’t. I did go to work for a few hours Saturday morning and then we went to lunch with friends that afternoon. The my tummy got so upset with me and I spent the evening on the couch with some water and books.

I rescheduled shadowing at church because I didn’t think I could manage with the upset tummy and all the sinus pressure I’ve been dealing with. We see a lot of people on a Sunday at church and I would hate to be off my game. I’m sure the worship pastor thinks I’m a flake or drama queen but I don’t want to go if I can’t give my all. I didn’t even go to one service, I can’t imagine how I would have handled being there for 7 hours.

I did run some errands in the late morning, early afternoon. Then we spent the day reading and watching TV. I worked out around 5pm, because I was bored and also, I don’t want to miss two days in a row. I will probably only work out 5 days a week but I don’t wand to skip two days together.

Liam and I finally “connected” last night and it’s been a really long time since that happened so I wanted to note it. Without being TMI it’s been a real struggle post hysterectomy and I’m thankful that he’s so understanding and that God provided a loving husband for me.

This morning we went and registered my car. Then I ran to the post office, returned some books to the library, had lunch, and grocery shopped. I came home and organized/cleaned out the fridge and freezer and then put the new food away. Moved from that to laundry and did 3 loads, washed and dried. I’ll put it away tomorrow morning.

We cheated for dinner and had five guys… so unhealthy… and then I waited a bit and did my workout for the day. My abdomen is really hurting and I can’t tell if it’s workout pain, the kind you want from working never before used muscles, or post-op pain… the kind I can’t have because I refuse to go back under the knife. I am hoping that some ibuprofen and a good nights sleep will calm the pain down. It’s really starting to feel unbearable though, so we’ll see.

Tomorrow I work in the late afternoon/early evening and then I’m going to attempt to make blackened fish tacos.
