Hello again ,folks.

Well another nightmare week at work. Over 600 miles travelled, another NHS Health Check date which turned out to be a bit of a farce. This time it was at a Health Centre checking nurses and admin staff. We are able to do 16 in a day. Only 9 booked and one didn’t bother turning up. You would think nurses of all people would be thinking about their own health as well as their patients! I spent a fair bit of time just sitting around waiting. And I forgot to take my iPad or Kindle which means I couldn’t even read a book! Grrr. Anyway, it’s over and done with. Next week I have one and a half days. The half day is actually at a prison. Not sure if its staff or inmates I’ll be checking, but there will only be time for about 8 or 9. I actually booked some leave this week, so I will be off on the second week of April. I think after this project is finished I am going to need some down time!!.

Family-wise everything is really good. Lee has gone down to Cornwall for a couple of weeks to see if he can find somewhere new to live. HE’s seeing all his old friends down there and having a great time from the sound of it. And at least he is keeping in touch this time! A great improvement.

Paula and the kids are all good. Kelsie keeps making us smile. Dawn is being a “sewing fool” with her new machine and has been making Kelsie some dresses. She tries them on and each new dress is “her favourite” and she prances around like a little model.

Vicki is still happy with her little life down in Cornwall as well. We speak to her several times a week, text every day and “FaceTime” twice a week.

Hear news about my Triumph Trophy today. She is ready to go for the MOT on Monday so hopefully get her back sometime mid week. The bill is going to be around £750 (about $1300 I think). I knew she was going to cost me a bundle because she has been standing for so long. But hopefully I can sell her pretty quickly and recoup that money and then some. At least, I will if this damn rain stops! I haven’t been out on my Tiger for weeks now because of it. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here!

OK, I have a soapbox moment…sort of. Here in the UK the weather is crap. Winds up to 100mph at the coast, Somerset is flooded so badly it looks like an inland sea. Hundreds of homes have been flooded and residents displaced. Businesses ruined, and general mayhem. Coastal defences have been breached and many beaches/sea walls ruined. Some say that its global warming, and blame mankind for destroying the ozone layer and causing it. Some have even said the fact that Somerset is so badly flooded is that it’s a Government plan. They claim that money was cut to the Environment Agency so they couldn’t dredge the local rivers and ease the flooding problem, mainly so that the land could be bought off cheap and sold to “Fragging” companies for a profit! ( Did someone say Conspiracy Theory?). For years forecasters have been saying weather is getting warmer , that we’re going to get warmer summers and drier winters, and now we get this! What I say to all of them is WISE UP, PEOPLE! The weather is controlled by Mother Nature!! We all now how powerful she is, in all aspects. The clue is in the name.. MOTHER!! She’s a woman….and we all know that women are allowed to change their mind as often as they want to!!! ( I can see my name being added to hit lists as I type!) Those that know me well will know I always write tongue in cheek, but seriously I do strongly believe that nature is such a strong force in our lives that no matter what steps we take to minimise the effects, it will always be the winner and we must just do the best we can to deal with it.

Well, I don’t think I have anything else to write about, so I’ll sign off. I hope all my friends on “the other side” are staying safe and not too snowed in. Take care, all. Hugz RNBiker
