Well I am here to share the news! after waiting and waiting for a call, there was a lady posting on our local group talking about how they could not find a home for the siblings .. one girl age 11, one boy age 9.. C&J !(I cannot post their names so I refer them by their first initial. I called the caseworker and I told her i’d think about it, our license was originally for one boy between the age of 5-8. Well the next day I was sitting online and they put another post about needing immediate placement for the two. Something (I know it was all GOD) kept nagging at me to call the caseworker back.. I looked next to me and there sat her number on my side table. SO I called again.. she talked more and she said that I needed to talk with my licensing worker so she could change my license so I could take the siblings. I learned some info about them and I just knew they were mine. So I called and told our licensing worker about them and she said she was against it because we already had 4 bio kids at home and she was afraid it would put a lot on our plate. But she said she’d do it. So we rushed around the next day and got everything together .. this was out of the blue so we rented a bunk bed from a store that rents out furniture. our licensing worker had to come over and check out the bed and clear that room for a foster too.. and she and the kids caseworker ran around with their supervisors to make it happen.
Soooo how there is six kids in our house! 4 bios and 2 fosters. Their case is a bit different then a usual case so this might turn into us adopting them in the next year. We don’t know yet but like I said, their case is much different then your typical foster case. C (girl) is 11, J (boy) is 9.
Its been quite a ride so far! they have been here since Feb 15th!
So much has happened since they got here and man.. wowza.
I love them deeply
