Going's on.... in ...from the ashes.

When I first moved to Canada I was hoping to get a job that would lead somewhere. I'm a realist when I say I have minimal experience in a lot of things. I spent 5 years as an Order Selector for several supermarket chains, the last being Aldi, in Queensland. That wasn't a bad job if you look past the attitude of some of the workers and the dribble from one of the shift supervisors. When I finally got a job, it was for a small deli/market in Halifax, for which I had originally applied to as a food/beverage server, and ended up with an Assistant Bakers position that lasted till November last year when I handed my 2 weeks notice in under the belief I had secured a spot at Costco. I'd made it through the 3 manager interviews on the first day, so all I had to do was go for the Orientation and I was set. Instead I decided not to screw over my employer by leaving them short a baker on a Friday and it looks like I screwed myself over instead because it's February and here I am still jobless. My Working Holiday Visa ends this August, I'm chewing into my credit card trying to survive and while i don't want to end up in something minimum wage and dead end...I think I'm screwed on choices at the moment. The bike needs new chain and sprockets when I get her out of storage after winter, and then there is insurance and rego...ugh... almost forgot about those two...
So yeah, fun fun.
