Annoying day in Diary

Things that have annoyed me in the last 24 hours.
• we’ve still got fleas! Dave has spent literally hundreds of pounds on loads of different flea treatments for the cats and the soft furnishings, but they just won’t die!
• one of the cats pissed on my hoodie yesterday when it was on the sofa and I was out. I had been wearing it for a couple of hours wondering what the smell was, assuming it was wet because I had just washed my hair. Disgusting.
• two van drivers were blocking the road yesterday, as it was only wide enough for one vehicle to pass and neither of them would move. There was a huge queue of traffic in both directions, Harrison was screaming in the back of the car and we were late for his sensory class. I got out to ask them to move and one of them just made kissy face at me, condescending bastard.
• Harrison slept through the night exactly twice and now he’s waking up to feed EVERY TWO HOURS. He hasn’t done this since he was brand new. Not only that, but it’s taking about an hour to get him back off to sleep so I’m only getting an hour’s sleep between feeds. I’m exhausted.
On the plus side, he had his 12 week injection yesterday and, apart from screaming when it went in, he was absolutely fine after that. He was inconsolable after his eight week injections, so I’m glad this one went ok.

God I think I'd have punched that van driver. Did they have any company info on the vans? You could complain to their workplace?

Yeah apparently they can survive for a week without a host. And if you manage to kill all the fleas but miss just one egg, the cycle can start all over again!

You obviously can't use the candle one with the kitties, but see if there is anything here that helps that not chemical, I dislike using chemicals on my kitty, but thankfully he also doesn't get out to get fleas (always with me/ on leash ). When i was younger we had a dog that seemed to attract them like crazy, and also had a bad skin condition, so the vet told my folks to use CLEAR dish liquid. Helps the coat AND kills the fleas.
