Everything about this book enchanted me as a child. The characters, (especially Dickon), the Yorkshire accents, the dreary manor, the idea of a walled garden. It was all magical to me.
I read and re-read it as a child, and I’ve read it several times an adult as well. It never gets old, it just grows more dear.
