Aaaand OD's gone. I kind of wanted to write a parody of Don McLean's American Pie about OD, but the creative juices ain't flowing and I have lots of lazy. So...just pretend I did and that it was the most glorious parody you ever did see, okay?
I thought I would feel worse about it going for good but...I dunno. I've really taken a shine to PB and, somehow, the community here seems even better than on OD even though it's mostly the same people. Weird. But I'm happy. I have a place to write and make friends :)
The vet convention was exhausting but ind of fun. I got so much swag in the exhibition hall! Tons of free cat and dog treats, samples of some awesome products (including paw print patterned vet wrap! SO CUTE!), some handy references, pens, more pens, and lots of candy. Good haul! We went to two talks on small mammals, on about common diseases and the other on behavior and nutrition. The speaker was amusing and I got some good information. It was exhausting, though, because I had to talk to so many people, especially vendors in the exhibition hall. I did OK, but I'm not great at random small talk. Definitely better than I have been, though. I also ran into my old boss, which was amusing. He's a goofy, good guy.
I have been so tired this week. I've been completely failing at the whole sleeping thing, so I've been exhausted during the day but then, I wake up right around bedtime. Argh! After school today, Aaron and I went to eat at GoodEarth (om nom nom) and then headed home, where I curled up in bed and babbled for a good hour. I kept making Aaron laugh, which was good, but I have no idea why. I didn't feel like the things coming out of my mouth were weirder/funnier than usual, but then again, I was really tired so any form of filter was just gone and my brain was probably doing weird things. I love making people, especially Aaron, laugh :)
That's all I got right now, but here's a followup to yesterday's picture, from a comic called Doctor Cat:
