Aloha...
I received the following email warning a few minutes ago:
"High Wind Warning Friday tonight
Gusts to 60 mph, mostly north of Brookings area
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Bandon south for Friday night, predicting gusts of up to 60 mph at coastal headlands.
The "strong disturbance" is expected to move onshore about 4 p.m. and move from Bandon southward to the Shasta Valley. The warning ends at 1 a.m. Saturday.
Sustained winds of 35 to 50 mph are forecast, with gusts to 60 mph. The strongest winds are expected at exposed locations along Highway 101."
This is going to be a good night to stay on the sofa... maybe watch the Olympics on t/v... we have had moderate rain for the past 36 hours... with rain in the forecast through the weekend...
