Presently: off the coast of singapore, fast internet so caught up with silicon valley, archer, wrecked, big bang theory, deadpool 2, infinity gauntlet, Lolworth and… 2 weeks til going home then bum for a few weeks before starting school in october. Man, thinking d next 8-11 months at sea give me a hibbie jibbies. Haha. Alrite here’s d log:

  1. Signing on to ship via shipyard sucky as hell! I transfered ship a week ago, ship was at shipyard, thought it would be a walk from gate to berth, so I dropped my backpack at home, came with a suitcase. Omg! Staircases, scaffolding, ladder and 30 min later.. I was onboard and drenched in sweat. Ever carried a 15kg checked in size suitcase up 7th storey? It sucks!

  2. Then saw my cabin… omg again! I had to spend 1h sweeping, mopping, laundry bed linen, clean toilet.. And d previous guy sleeping here? My classmate!! Fck!! The basic decency of a seaman is u leave ur cabin clean and in liveable state for d next person. Found his phone number, msg him.. He was taking my cabin in a ship to ship swap. My cabin is clean!!! But turned out I left some ants there.. Lol so even steven.

  3. Now icelandic captain. Was talking about next journey (spore-china-spore-brazil), potential typhoon season along d way and I remarked ‘well since I dont have any reposnsbility yet, I would like to see how to deal with typhoon at sea’.
And I got ‘what d fck is wrong with you!’ From captain. Lol.

  4. This was my first vessel as a cadet, and now im finishing my seatime on d same vsl, phew what a full circle I guess. Best thing? My first cook last year sucked big time (a huge portion of lucnh that wd end up as dinner as well, yikes!). And now.. Best cook so far: pasta al fredo, brownies, fresh croissant, and later tonite… cheese baked potato! 1 week in and already I put on 2 kg. Lol.

Hei hei.

If u dont mind 38M/seaman, singapore.

Please pardon d short forms as im typing dis on a blackberry phone.

I spend 9 months a year at sea so i have the mind space, time and willingness to read and wall text anyone anywhere about anything. Lol.

And since im gonna be onboard til im 70… penpals please :)

Hope to hear from you.

Francis
