I am thankful that the smoke will likely blow out over night, hopefully.

I am thankful and grateful and super thankful for all the emergency workers out there fighting the fires and helping people stay safe and out of harms’ way in British Columbia and California.

I am thankful for all of our emergency workers, firemen, police, ER staff and EMT’s and all those other people who man the phones and do support work to help keep us all safe on a daily basis while putting their own lives at stake.

I am thankful for my grandkids who are going back to school soon, woohoo!!!

I am thankful for our medical system here, criticize it all you want, it still saves us from going broke, or worse not getting something that should be treated, treated, properly, by someone who knows what they are doing.

I am thankful the world doesn’t run on politics, that most people are just trying to get through the day to return home to their loved ones.

I am thankful I have apples this year.

I am thankful the tomatoes are starting ripen, they are sooo good and juicy and delicious!!!

I am thankful for my peeps, all of them, everywhere.

And I am thankful for you.

Happy Thursday!!!!

I hope your smoke has blown away and doesn't compromise your lungs.

I just got back from Vancouver...the smoke cleared there and it was clear here. It was a little daunting to see the military plan (troop carrier type) at our airport. It is a big concrete-grey monster plane. The people we rented the B & B from are former EMTs from Calgary. They lived in Canmore and drove back and forth to work. They love the comparatively snowless Vancouver Island.
