Wednesday I was able to meet with my new psychiatrist, Dr. G. I am still getting used to being in a new place, and meeting with new people. It's a bit jarring. Dr. G was very understanding, and let me drop the new medication that he was trying to put me on to help with the nightmares. So that is settled.
The new books rolled in today and yesterday. J whined about me and my books, and I was able to ignore him. I wish that he could shut up about that. He can't quite understand my book obsession. And that is his problem.
I finished the last two books that I read. I also managed to get the review up for The Mummy Case by Elizabeth Peters. Not quite certain what I am going to read next.
I need to get some cleaning done around here. The problem is, where do I start? Recently, all I want to do is curl up in bed. With cats. With books.
Phantom has been turning into a real snuggler. When I get up in the morning, he wants to be right with me, purring and hudging me, and wanting his head scritched. He can be a real lover. And Miss Sophie has been sleeping at my feet at night. She's the one that gets easily startled by things, but I wager that she will mellow out over time. Poor Mu is getting very old, very thin, and wails more often than not. Next Thursday is vet day, when they all go in for check ups and dental and shots. Expensive, but worth it in the long run.
I am worried about what the vet is going to say about Mu. He is pushing seventeen years, and that's elderly for a kitty. The other two keep an eye on him, and I have caught them all sleeping together at times.
It is very late, I need to get to bed. At least I can sleep tomorrow.
