No. The dermatologist appointment is tomorrow. It wasn’t today. Confirmed by looking at the calendar on the frig. Maybe Mom has it written in the right square. Sometimes, mostly, she gets it right.

Yesterday was the first 100 degree day of the year. Tied for fifth earliest. I did make it to the pool in the late afternoon. And then a shave and shower before dinner and then Rummikub.

Today I did nothing except sit in this chair and read. I listened to a bit of NPR.

Ted Cruz (r-tex) thinks that Zuckerburg hires lefties to monitor content. He is the perfect example of conservative stupidity. Paranoid, butt-hurt, and ignorant. As my Grandpa would’ve said- “Dumber than a box of rocks!”

And today Paul Ryan turned tail and ran. Third in line for the presidency. Does he know something we don’t? Fuck, that’s wishful thinking.

So, tomorrow is the appointment for Mom. The strip mall where it resides also contains a Dollar Store and a St. Paul’s thrift store. The last time I was in that thrift store, almost a year ago, I wasn’t impressed with what they were doing with the content. It seemed like they were clearing out the good junk and raising the price on what they retained. I’m going to try to find a couple more pair of reading glasses at the Dollar Store. I can’t remember what strength the ones I’m wearing now are.

Mom has been gathering together her stuff for the road trip. The pile keeps getting bigger and bigger. The more she piles up the less I’m thinking about taking myself.

We’ve been talking about the route. So far we’ve got the coast highway from the Mexican border to the NW corner of Washington state, around the Olympic Peninsula, across Puget Sound (the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle?) and then east to Idaho and Montana. It should be almost summer by then.

I’m looking for an Airbnb in Venice Beach right now. Or Santa Monica?

Anyway, about seventeen days to get ready.
