I appreciate that people take the time to read my often incoherent and snappy ramblings.

Still playing bachelor, will be 12 days before wife comes home from our daughters. Wife and daughter have volcanic relationship and we are in a quiet period as they have a common enemy, my daughters boyfriend. He’s very religious and that’s not a bad thing. But we are of the ‘God helps those who help themselves persuasion’ and he is a ‘God will provide’ type. To his credit he’s done 3 years full time lay Catholic missionary work, but by late 20’s I think if he’s serious about marriage he needs to start earning.

Son is doing well, heading out of country for a while next week then again later in the year. We will miss Easter together.

One thing I highly value about my life is that I say to my son and daughter everyday ‘I Love you’. And what’s more edifying is that they say it daily as well, not cause they feel a need to but because they mean it. Son is actually more sentimental than the daughter and he text and speak as often as we can.

Wife has been digitising all our old hard copy photo’s. We now have 125k photo’s on hard drive and soon to be on two external hard drives. She has organised into folders going back to 1965. I have even been given some pictures from 1940 of my dad as a 12 year old.

Made a spectacular Spaghetti marinara last night from scratch. Wife is allergic to shellfish so only time I eat it is when she is away lol.

TMI - Sex drive is up and down. Or here for a while then gone for a while lol. When its here is here in force but anyway!

it is good to hear some people have that kind of relationship with their kids,

I think that is normal for anyone's sex drive,

cheers!

Your relationship with your kids sounds great; I don't remember either of my parents ever telling me that they loved me, even when I was a kid. Very British and reserved, any emotion is equated with hysteria.

I tell all people I love as often as I can that I love them you never know what tomorrow holds. It's great you have that relationship with your kids.
