I can't believe that it's only a week and 3 days til Christmas!! It's approaching far too fast. Part of that I'm sure is due to constant sedation. Where did we leave off? With me in a lot of pain oppon Thursday the 7th and planning t on going home early? Well I did that. And vegged/slept on the couch for most of the evening after struggling to get in the house and get situated.
Sleep was pretty impossible to sleep and I managed to take a bath then crawl into bed to veg... then repeat an hour later cause a bath was the only time the pain was minimized. I woke up around 7am, after only a couple hours of sleep TOPS and hopped into the tub painfully. As I finally managed to drift off to sleep once back inbed, my phone rang and it was my doctor. She told me that she had got the results from my MRI and I needed to call and nurosurgeon and blah blah blah. Effing great.
I'm in pain up the ass, nothing as helping. I called my mom and she said I needed to call a spine doctor. She set made me an appointment with hers for the following Monday morning. The rest of the day was spent sitting in baths and trying to sleep. Sigh It didn't work too well of course.
Mom called later in the evening and wanted to know if I wanted her to come over. She did and had picked up food on the way. I managed to munch some of it and then she told me that he and my step dad wanted me to come back to the house so there would be people around to take care of me... Heather had to work all weekend.
We gathered a few things and painfully made it to her car.
I was glad to get to the house and pop some percocet that my mom had. That plus my flexeril... I started to feel abit of reliefe. They put the futon mattress from downstaris, upstairs in the middle of the livingroom and I've been parked there ever since.
I did go to the spine doc on Monday. I go the prize for the biggest dealy they had seen. Yay me.
Very large central and right paracentral disc extrusion impinging on sacral nerve roots at L5-S1.
Don't ask, I don't know ho to explain it. I'm so doped up right now it's not even funny and I'm getting a headache cause I've been awake for too long. And it might be almost time to take some more meds so I'm going to sleep again.
I'm going to attempt to get back to work on Thursday... that's 2 weeks off ithout pay... that means a stressed Melissa cause I'll have NO money.
Oh and by the way, surgeryis suggested to fix this problem (I promise I'll explain it in lamens terms later) and I'm probably going to do it.
Obviously I can't read you all yet cause I'm so out of it, but I'll get to it at some point.
