Lockout!! in A New Journey

Today was so nerve wacky for me! Every morning I have to get up at 5 am and get to my daughters by 6 am to get my grand son and daughter up for them to get ready for school. (my daughter leaves for work within 30 minutes of me arriving there). I fed the kids and we are out the door at 7 am.
1st drop off is .....Junior High
Then I go back to my apt to get my son Rocket
2nd drop off is High School
3rd drop off is Elementary school (8 am drop off)
Then I go to my daughter’s Starbucks Store, Well its not longer Starbucks its now Dawson Taylor’s Coffee. Sorry Starbucks Dawson Taylor is way much better, they just opened it today. I had to see what was happening, it was still chaos as they have not finished remodeling yet. They have 3 more days to get it done!! SO I ordered me a Blackberry Italian Soda! Yummy!!
As I was there waiting for another mom to drop off her daughter for me to take her to school as her mom had to be at work by 9 and her child needed to be at her school by 850 am. AND its clear across town, and close to my place, SO I take her every day. SO we left and headed to her school. Then I was getting text message like crazy and also my phone was ringing at the same time. When I am driving I DO NOT try to grab my phone. I ignored it, but then 3 more text messages was coming in and it was ringing again. OK that means its very important for me to get it. I turned into a resident street and pulled over and I was only like 4 blocks from K’s school so I answered and my daughter was asking where I was, I told her and she said to hurry up and get K to school and there will be officers in front of the schools. She was explaining to me that there was a LOCKOUT in all schools in town!! DUE TO INDIRECT THREAT!!
SO I arrived at K’s schools and there was cops cars at every corner and NO parents were allowed to get out of vehicles, they asked me if I wanted to drop off the child or take her home, I said DROP OFF! SO they grabbed her with 2 officers side by side with her! I left immediately. WITH MY hands shaking wondering if it was even a good idea to drop her off!!
Then I pulled over a few blocks away with my son texting me of all the information what was going on in the schools.
Apparently, today there was suppose to be a walk out by all students in honor of the students that were killed in Florida, (this has been a month of plans by all students and every state was dong this today) SO apparently 3 students had made a direct threat on FB of doing a shooting at a school today, not clear of what school was the direct threat, but they took the threat for all schools in Casper district.
Casper is only 12 miles in each way. very small town, easy to travel through town, as we are right on the mountain sides. I love it here!!
SO there was no out door activities allowed, even during recess or lunch time, all students who were suppose to go from one building to another were not allowed. SO they all had to stay in those buildings for 3 hours this morning, as the finally arrested 3 students who made the threats and were investigating if any body else were involved in the treats!!
SO 11 am approached and I had to figure out if I was allowed to pick up K at 1130 as she is in Pre K. I called her school and asked about if I was allowed to pick up the child at 11:30. They said YES, and an officer will ask who I was picking up and they will bring her out.
SO I arrived and I was approached by an officer and told them the child name again 2 officers side by side. She got in and the officer got her in her booster seat and buckle her as I was not allowed to get out of vehicles. LOW BEHOLD. Scary situation!!
We got home and I text Rocket if they were still allowing students to do that walk out today. Well they already had it but it was not allowed out side, it was inside the big GYM. SO sad these students had to make things so stressful for all parents/grandparents/ siblings. WHY!!!!
SO it was lifted at 2 PM that all precautions were still in but parents can get their child at end of school day. WOW I had to go pick up

I was so stressed out with K sitting in booster seat crying and tired. SHE was stressed out too, wanting her MOM. UGH what can I DO!!
BUT drive!
I turned on my CD of calming music I have in my car and guess what she fell asleep. WHEW!!
They are all safe and sound and HOME with their mom’s and dad’s. BUT my son decided to take off with my car to go to his girl friends house!
I am home and in my PJ”s and its now 7:30 its TV time!

NOW Rocket won’t get tired of it! HE understands now!!
