I Miss You Daddy in My Poetry

[I wrote this for my biological dad shortly after he passed away..]

Life hasn’t been the same without you.
I’ve cried so many times because I didn’t get to say my good-byes.
So many things you will miss out on, so many yet to come.
Sorta like graduation or when I bring my first child home.
Or when I walk down the aisle you won’t be there.
Sometimes I sit and wonder what my life would be like if you were still there.
But now I will never know my heart is stripped bare.
Dad I love and miss you so,
Why’d you have to leave me why’d you have to go?
