X-mas Denver trip in A New Journey

Good Morning folks, Happy New Years!! Wow I am so ready to settle down and get all this xmas stuff put away, Well it is all put away, but still seeing a few things still sitting around. I am happy kids are back in school as they were getting bored and I like them going to school to continue using their brain to learn new things every day!
JB almost got into trouble as he had a plastic sword in his jacket! He has no idea what could happened if he took that to the play ground and play with it! HE would be suspended or expelled! HE even lied to me that he didn’t have any thing, THIS Mamo knows when he is lying to me, SO I checked his jackets and low and behold there was his sword, A BIG ONE! WOW, I told him he will be grounded from the sword for a while and I will talk to his mom about it. HE tried to convince me to not tell his mom!
SO after dropping him off I went to my daughter’s store and we talked, She is going to go to the school for lunch and talk to the principal and see if she can sit and talk to him. HE has done this to me already 3 times since school started! SO we hope he will understand of the consequences of his actions!

So let me share of my Christmas visit to Denver, my father has been in the hospital since a week before Christmas due to him feeling very exhausted from a trip he took to Mexico and on his return he immediately went to the hospital as he was feeling some dizziness. So he had found out he needed several test to be done for his heart as he had to have a heart valve replacement and a few days from that surgery he got put back in the hospital for Pneumonia, he was in there for the holidays. So I had already had plans to take down my boyfriend Dennis to meet my family. SO we left the day after Christmas, we (Dennis, Rocket and I) left at 5 am and once we got into the car it was below 8 degrees, TALK about YIKES!! We started to head down to Cheyenne, Wyoming, the roads were bad but we managed to get to Cheyenne and with in 2 hours from passing Cheyenne they had to close the main highways. I was so glad we got out of Wyoming, as once we got into Colorado the roads were nice and clean from the snow storm they had. SO we arrived at my sister house and every one met there for lunch. There was 16 of us there and they all met Dennis. IT was a very nice lunch.
Then after the lunch I went to the hospital to meet my dad and Dennis met him there and we sat for a little while.
Then we went to my brother’s house to get comfortable and they had supper made so we sat and talked for a while then we all decided to play Mexican train Dominoes, there was 8 of us playing and we all had so much fun playing. We played almost 3 hours of the game!! Dennis had never played that game and I totally had a lot of fun!! IT was nice as Dennis and my brother hit it off pretty well! I was so happy!
Then we all sat and talked til around 1 am!! MY brother had 2 more hours to get ready to get to the airport and fly to Ohio to see his adult kids for New Years!
SO the next day we went to my moms house for lunch again, We enjoyed that visit as well.
SO all my family really liked Dennis and said I finally found some one better than my last 2 ex’s !!
So over all the trip was short and we accomplished the trip and came home right after the lunch with my mom as Rocket had to go back to work the next day!
I am enjoying getting to know Dennis more every day!!
