So today I saw American Hustle in the cinema and just like with 12 Years a Slave I'm somewhat disappointed because it did not live up to its hype. Some spoilers follow, I guess.
The story really lacks focus. Chief among my problems was the movies lack of moral clarity. I mean, at the end it expects us to see Cooper's character as the bad guy? For what?
Also I'm really starting to dislike when movies open with a scene of something that happens later in the story.
Overall it just was not as good as I hoped it would be.
Now I'm really tired, perhaps I should write something more tomorrow.
Next week I think I'll see The Wolf of Wall Street. I think.
