Okey, so for the first time in days when I click my Open Diary bookmark it actually loads the page. Like it actually exists or something. My last entry was like 9 days ago.
So meanwhile I finished re-reading The Hunger Games trilogy and I read Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. It was not as good as her two latest books but overall a decent read. Now I'm reading The Sword of Shannara. If you go to Goodreads you'll see a lot of 1 star reviews at the very top. Read 70 pages yesterday and I can definitely see why that is the case. I mean the people talked about it being a LOTR clone but the sheer amount of "similarities" is just mind numbing. Also the language of the book does not make it easy to read. I fear I might not finish it and at some point just give up but a) let's hope that does not happen and b) I'm not ready to give up yet.
Last Monday went to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The first movie I liked but this one was kind of disappointing. It had no feet to stand on its own. They really should have just made it into two parts as was originally planned. Also, can you imagine if they shot the Lord of the Rings this way? Probably be a movie for each book (for those who haven't read Lord of the Rings it's technically one story split into six books so, for instance, Fellowship of the Ring consists of Book I and Book II etc) and they still wouldn't include Tom Bombadil.
