So today I continued reading The Age of Innocence. Today I liked it a lot better but now I'm sure how it will end. It has some very subtle humour. I might watch the movie at some point but I'm not sure how it's nuances could be translated to the screen. Also some days ago I checked on Edith Wharton and I found out that she was born in 1862. That would make 1870's, when the book takes place, her teen years (though I doubt the concept of teenage-hood was invented yet). Now I can't help wonder what influence that has about her view of the time, even though the book was written 50 years later.
Today I continued working on my Genesis map on Minecraft. Thanks to McEdit I have discovered a relatively simple way to make awesome looking buildings. So I made a castle today. But it's not just a question of time but also of style. Even if I tried I couldn't make something so pretty. I suppose you just have to have knowledge of these things.
Tomorrow they both will be going back to work and I'll have the house all to myself. It's been grey and raining these last days. Still in search of new blog to read. Today I read a post that, once again, helped me realise I am not The Only Person In The World Who Is Like That.
