So today I finished reading The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. The ending was kind of sad. No matter what Newland's life was unfulfilled. Also I couldn't help wondering how could he still keep living with these people. I'm not talking about the way of life of that society but about how they all did things behind his back. Anyway looking over my library I noticed that the books in my to-read list are, well, rather long. Somehow I didn't realise that previously. The Portrait of a Lady is gonna take me some 10 days and I have no idea how am I ever gonna finish The Pillars of the Earth. As a joke I got Anna Karenina figuring that if I could finish that mammoth then I could, finally, finish Anna Karenina after so many previous failures. But besides that I have made up my mind - October will be Lord of the Rings month. My only fear is that the non-novelty might turn me off. We'll see I guess. I played a bit of Minecraft today. Made them a salad. At first I wanted to make them sandwiches but then I felt really tired and decided to not make anything but then at the spur of the moment I started making a salad. They said it was good. Today I felt rather depressed. The season 4 X-files series that I'm currently watching are starting to disappoint me, they fail to bring adequately resolved stories.
