So I woke up at 8, so I slept some 9 hours. Though I've been thinking that my math might be skewed. I count the total sleeping hours from when I go to bed but then I often just lay there for a good while before falling asleep. Might be an entire hour. So I don't know.
Yesterday I watched two episodes of Luther.
Today I ate sandwiches, salty nuts and potatoes. Mood: -2. One time during the day I felt really depressed.
Now I'm starting to fear I might not finish Speaker for the Dead, like so many books before it. In this book Ender is so arrogant and the way the book treats him like a saint who just waltzes in and magically fixes everything in minutes and everyone is always talking how he is so wonderful and brilliant and The Hive Queen and the Hegemon is the GREATEST BOOK EVA!!!!! It's just so damn infuriating. Why did I have to go and pick such awful books for my reading list?
That's it, I officially quit reading Speaker for the Dead. I think the worst sin of the book is that he achieves everything by threats and Jane tells him the rest. So at this point March is almost half-over and I've only finished one book. So tomorrow I'll start reading Father Goriot and then Valley of Fear. Then if there's enough days left I'll read Mysteries of Udolpho, if not then I'll just pick some shorter book. Though I should be able because I'll be finished with Father Gorio this week, provided it's readable, though it should be I mean I liked Eugenie Grandet and Valley of Fear won't take more than two days so in the end I will have 12 days left to read Mysteries of Udolpho which should be plenty of time.
I looked at Father Goriot again apparently it has no chapters just 200 pages of text.... I mean who does that? Who writes like that? I don't know how this will affect my reading. I'm not planning to abandon it, I mean I heard it was good, but still.
So I did a bit more writing, but I didn't finish chapter 2. Then I played some games and later decided to read up on Marie Antoinette by Antonia Fraser, specifically about her early days. I've never finished the book because I never had the guts to get into the bad stuff at the end of her life.
As today there is yet again nothing good on the TV I decided to watch 12 Monkeys. i saw it when browsing the list of films made by Terry Gilliam and it attracted my attention.
