Last July, when my wife (then fiancee) was out of town visiting my parents after going through some tough times after losing her job (they’re teachers and had the summer off, and I ....well, I had to work), I bought a record player. I grew up with Records. I remember at four years old constantly putting on Pet Sounds on my dads turntable, or the Doors, or Frank Zappa, or Leon Redbone. My dad’s not a part of my life anymore, but in this way he kind of is.
