Real Fine Place to Start in General

I have always loved Sara Evans’ voice. I was listening to her album No Place That Far as my first marriage came apart at the seams.

Sometimes I would just sleep in my truck at the base beach. Sometimes I would sleep on the beach, until some rentacop chased me away. Anything to not be trapped on the boat, with all the noise and isolation.

Sara and I are genetically similar. Scots-Irish, Scandinavian and Cherokee. Basically White American.

Perhaps that is why I have always found her so compelling. Just watching her videos gives me a hard-on.

I missed the first day of ground school last night. As I was heading out the door I checked my stupid phone and saw an email from the house manager at Beanie McBeanerson’s house. She was at the hospital. I kinda panicked and started calling all the numbers I had.

Whew. UTI. Not fun, but nothing like the appendicitis from a couple of years ago. By the time I had it all sorted out, and gave them permission to give her the drugs prescribed I was already 30 minutes late.

Navy training. Show up early or don’t show up at all.

I was a bit pissed.

I lay on my back in bed and wondered. Time seems to be going by so fast. It is already fall, not that you would know it here in midcoast Maine. It is 78F on the 5th of October. I almost bought a pumpkin at Shaw’s yesterday, with plans to carve it closer to Halloween. Good thing I didn’t, it would be rotting on the doorstep by now.

I am still about 90% off social media at this point. I might come here a couple times a week. Facebook as well.

The absolute stupidity I see on TV bothers me. I didn’t even hear about the Las Vegas murders until Monday night. ABC completely embarrassed themselves last night, rambling on about one hundred round “clips”, and magic “bullets buttons” that automatically reload rifles. “Silencers” that are flash suppressors. They make themselves look ridiculous. And completely alienate responsible gun owners.

Eight fucking hours. That is how long it took that idiot Shrillary Rotten Clintoon to chime in. About “silencers.” That disgusting troll hasn’t drove a car in thirty years and yet anyone is supposed to listen to her about anything?

Then the morning pontificators. Saying stupid as shit things like “When the second amendment was written there were only muskets.”

Hey dumbass. When the first amendment was written the television and internet didn’t exist. Maybe we should start locking down the freedom of speech.

The purpose of the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sport shooting, It has to do with the fact that the United States actually had to fight for its freedom.

Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India - countless other colonies were handed their freedom. The United States is the only one that fought for it. That is in our DNA.
Fucking liberals want to pick and choose which part of the constitution they can support.

I, personally would get rid of the 14th amendment. That would get rid of anchor babies. The US and Canada are the only two countries on the entire planet who grant birthright citizenship.

If I had a pregnant wife or girlfriend and snuck into Mexico, and she gave birth. Fucking Mexico wouldn’t grant citizenship to that child. Why do we?

I guess it is good I stay off social media for the most part. Even the news sucks 99% of the time.

PS. I just found out I now have 7 former shipmates who are Admirals. Make me feel kind of small.
