Why

Why do you feel trapped
When the walls tumble in?
Why do the shadows
Grow colder and thin?

How many times
Can those Upward chimes ring?
Before they’re gone,
Forgotten and lost wondering?

Who can unite
The bonds of early fire?
Why does your love
Sometimes wither and tire?

It can’t with me
Because souls seem to unite;
And take on new form
Like a day makes twilight.

Searching for answers
On a heart-drawing plain;
Asking “Why” to all questions,
Begging answers with shame.

To some awful questions
One will never know Why –
They’ll take them to the ground
When they breathe last goodbyes.

Insightful and true
Is the evidence of love –
Excited with you
Is my arrangement above.
